By all accounts the Membership Luncheon at Atlantic Shores was a great success. A big thank you to Judy Connors, who stepped in for me, and all the team members who made the event so memorable. Special appreciation goes to Dorothy Cullen and Jeanette Willenbrink who helped the luncheon come to life with exquisite table decorations. Last, but certainly not least, we thank Back Bay Refuge Manager Jared Brandwein along with Molly Brown who is on the Board of the National Wildlife Refuge Association and Operation Specialist Laticia Melendez for their informative presentation about volunteer work and some perspectives about their own work. Our next luncheon will take place at Westminster Canterbury on September 14 at 11:30. Our program will feature Carolyn Dennis who will demonstrate several of her artistic Table Scapes. Carolyn has won several awards for her creative table decorations. What a wonderful way to prepare us for the change of season. Her demonstration will undoubtedly give us some ideas to try at home as autumn approaches. Until then, though, enjoy the warm weather, and be sure to celebrate the remaining weeks of summer.
