KAY’S KORNER
Kay Palko, President
The Luncheon-Tea at the
Wisteria restaurant was a great success if you listened to the ladies
leaving that afternoon. Constance Lue did a lovely job of giving
us some knowledge of tea, teas, and history. The “tea gossip” was
fun. Our tea lady gave out gifts! Jo-Ann Clegg won for the
most unusual hat and Darlene Nelson won for the loveliest. Lora Wilson
won for attending.
George Butler worked
very hard to bring us a plate that was not only a lovely presentation,
but also a taste delight. It was a most worthwhile experience.
Our July Birthday girls,
both 72, were Beverly Smeltzer and Louise Smith.
I would like to apologize
to the ladies at the luncheon and to Roberts Rules of Order. I became
sick on Tuesday, August 9 and was in bed until Thursday morning when I
got up and went to the luncheon. I returned home and bed. The
next day my husband took me to the Doctor who told me I had Pneumonia.
It is with this knowledge that I ask the ladies and Robert’s to forgive
my many incorrect parliamentary proceedings. I promise to do better
next month. |
