JULY 2007

KAY’S KORNER

The membership luncheon and fashion show was really out standing.  The Base Exchange put on a fantastic affair, showing multiple fashions that most of us would look wonderful in.  I heard that at least three of our four models bought their outfits.  Our lovely models were: Lillian Campbell, Dollie Streit, Joyce Copes, and Jane Sowders.   Besides the fashion show the exchange also showed items from the embroidery shop, the make-up departments, with some hand outs, the jewelry department, and the florist’s shop, that had huge displays of flowers on each table and around the room. The exchange had a free Raffle.  Adriana Grillo and Jeanette Willenbrink both won Liz claybourn handbags. Many other ladies  all won beautiful red and black brocade Chinese boxes containing perfume vials.

The lunch was a very tasty assorted salad plate, which eighty one Ladies enjoyed.

We also had two June Birthday Girls, Pat Rathbun, and Patty Leon.  Judy Conners, who couldn’t be with us, is also a June birthday girl.

This is a one time newsletter.  I do not have the time to do it again.  Hopefully someone will come forward to fill the position of Newsletter Editor.  If I can do it with no training you can do it with tutoring from Marion.    KP
