KAY’S KORNER
Kay Palko, President

What a wonderful luncheon we had at the Snug Harbor Officers Club, at Little Creek.  It has been redecorated in a most elegant manner.  The club provided beautiful fourth of July table decorations.  Phyllis Hostetler reminded me that this club is where ROWS began back on May 10, 1973.  I was so young then!

Our food was very good, but everyone said there was too much to eat it all.  It was decided that Snug Harbor would be back on our list of clubs to attend.

Betty Jones our Vintage Costume Jewelry expert, is a charming, warm person who kept our interest as she went around the room talking about the jewelry our members had brought in, and some of the many pieces she had brought.  The members gained much valuable information.

We sang Happy Birthday to our July Birthday Girls, and gave Red Roses to Louisa Gowan, our youngest at 59, and to Doreen Steuteville, the oldest at 82.

I was happy to see so many charter members.  Speaking of charter members,  the club received a note from Ann Powell in Florida.  She renewed her membership saying how she misses everyone, and how important the Newsletter is to her.

Help us make this the best year ever.  Participate and bring new members.
